About Ruhkery

We take ventures across the chasm between great idea and competitive advantage with embedded intelligence.

The chasm

Most ventures do not fail for want of a good idea. They fail in the stretch between having one and holding an advantage a competitor cannot simply copy — the stretch where the work is unglamorous, the money is thin, and the thing that would make the difference is exactly the thing nobody has time to build.

That stretch is where we work.

Embedded intelligence

We do not hand a venture a strategy document and wish it well. We build the substrate its product runs on, and the intelligence goes into the substrate — so it compounds with use instead of ageing on a shelf.

The result is that a company we back starts further along than it could have on its own, and the distance is structural rather than borrowed.

How we work

We incubate and we invest, and we are willing to do both in the same venture.

We would rather be early and useful than late and large.
